Opening service City Church 040 in Evoluon
Last September 16; the iconic Evoluon building in Eindhoven filled up for the opening church service of a new church in Eindhoven, City Church 040.
No fewer than 450 people signed up for the first service of this hip church, which interprets church services in a contemporary and fresh way so that people get in touch with faith in a different way.
Preparation for the service took over a year, and a few weeks before the actual opening service, contact was made with Bravour® for the purchase of a pulpit.
Lectern Concerto
Eventually the Concerto pulpit caught the eye.
The pastor of Stadskerk 040, Wilfred van Barneveld, wanted a number of adjustments to be made to the pulpit.
The lectern is normally supplied with a tablet cut-out in landscape position, but Stadskerk 040 preferred a reading surface with a cut-out in portrait position.
Thanks to the direct contact within the Bravour® company, 'customisation' of pulpits at Bravour® is no problem at all.
This did mean a slightly longer delivery time of the lectern, which meant that the lectern could not be used during the dress rehearsal, 1 week before the opening service.
Will the lectern arrive on time?
To best support the customer, a similar model (Vivaldi), which was available from stock as a showroom model, was used for the dress rehearsal.
The lectern was provided free of charge by Bravour.
In the week after the rehearsal, the Vivaldi was exchanged for the custom-made lectern Concerto, which was used during the service.
Partly due to the use of our lectern, this opening service was a grand success.
